Summary

Luke spars with several Ewoks in Bright Tree Village, who attack with rocks and spears until he levitates Wicket into the air. Ackbar, Lando, Chewie, Plif, and 3PO arrive, teasing him for fighting beings a third his size. Letting Wicket down, Luke listens as Ackbar shows concern for what will occur without a Republic or Empire to unite the galaxy. He sends Luke to invite representatives from other worlds to form a new government. 3PO is translating Ewokese, Chewie is studying Ewok hunting skills, and Lando is helping the new government, so Plif joins him as a Hoojib spokesman. Taking an X-Wing to Pavillion, Iskalon, they find Rik Duel's Corellian ship, Moonshadow , already there. As Dani lustily hugs him, Rik and Chihdo arrive, arms filled with loot. They ask Luke to join them, mistaking Plif as a pet. They plan to loot Gamandar and a dozen other decimated worlds, ignoring Luke's rebuke. In the ocean, two locals lure a chiaki to attack them, and Luke saves Rik's life. Suddenly, a mob attacks. Luke fights them off and levitates Chihdo to safety, but two locals open fire with stingers, until Kiro arrives to calm them. Luke says the Empire is defeated and invites them to help form the new government. Mone, now in Primor's position as leader, says he is glad to see Luke, but that the School wants no dealings with off-worlders, who do not understand how to work as one group. Kiro offers to go, but Mone refuses to let him and evicts Luke's party. Rik protests, but eventually relents. Later, as Luke boards his X-Wing, Kiro arrives in a ceremonial rebreather outfit, choosing to leave the School and see the galaxy. As he boards Rik's ship (Luke's is a one-seater,) Mone and the School mourn his loss. EnsViews Comic Review
