Marvel Star Wars #71
RETURN TO STENOS
Published: May 1983
Story: JO DUFFY
Art: RON FRENZ and THOMAS PALMER
Summary

Aboard the Falcon , Luke and Lando study holos of Bossk and IG-88 before arriving at Stenos. Luke fears Han is dead, but Lando has faith. Leaving Chewie and R2 on the ship, as droids and Wookiees are uncommon here, they set out for the capitol. Stenaxes stay airborne or on pinnacles, ignoring others if left alone, while aliens live in the city. The Rebels enter a bar and buy drinks. Thinking he won't be known, Lando takes the lead, but Drebble, whom he once cheated in a deal, see him and offers a bounty for his capture. As hunters try to collect, they hide behind a table. Luke, seeing Bossk and a Jawa leaving to avoid the fight, leaps into the air, slices a support pillar, brings the ceiling down on the others, cuts through the wall, and uses the Force to fall five stories to the street. Drebble doubles the reward, rousing IG-88 into action. Catching their breath, they mistakenly accost a reptilian female who resembles Bossk. Suddenly, Drebble's gang gives chase. Ducking into different doorways, they lose each other, Luke finding Rik Duel and Dani. Dani hugs him and Rik says the Stenaxes killed only Quorl Matrin since he was holding Vol. Putting the past aside, they seek his help in finding Chihdo, who is missing. On the street, Lando says he found Han and leads Luke to an alley where two men carry a carbonite block. Contacting Chewie and R2 with the news, they follow to a building. As Stenaxes fly overhead, Lando distracts a guard by pretending to turn himself in for the reward, but as they run in, they are shocked to see frozen within, not Han, but Chihdo, and to learn they've been trapped by Bossk, IG-88, and other bounty hunters.
