Summary

Luke, Chewie, and Lando take the Falcon to see Orion Ferret, a "sand-slug" of a guy. In the camouflaged Hoojib cave, Hilly and others debate Leia's plan to hide the fleet inside Arbra's sun. Shira offers to retrieve Luke to help them, but Leia wants him to keep to his mission; the tension between these two is high. The Rebels plan to link five Kerts-Bhirg field generators to form a pyramid around the fleet within the 8,000-degree chromosphere, using a thruster to make it stay in that layer. Leia tells Rieekan to proceed, the generators are activated, and they enter the sun. One Rebel, Shahn, reports Imperial crafts entering the system, so all but Captain Mesa's maintenance crew return to Arbra; every six days, a shuttle will return to change shifts. As Leia reassures a nervous Rebel, Falltower, that shields will protect them, R2 finds a malfunctioning generator too late to warn her. The droids visit the control room and find the crew unconscious from fumes, then call Leia and Rieekan to say the fleet could be lost. They hide behind a moon as four TIEs scout the area, for launching X-Wings would alert Vader. On the Falcon , Luke and Lando play a game of Novacrown. Chewie tells Lando to take over the piloting, shaking the ship for emphasis. As they arrive at Bazarre, a huge space station surrounded by various ships, the TIEs leave Arbra. Leia loses 3PO's signal as the droids coast to link the cruiser to the generator with a cable and boost power. Heat melts their rocket-pack and they float toward the shield edge. As the Falcon docks at Bazarre, Lando is wary, having dealt with Ferret while still on Cloud City. Entering a huge market-place filled with merchants selling grootons and other wares, they are surrounded by guards. Leia considers the fleet lost, but 3PO signals their success at temporarily fixing the generator, using R2's fire extinguisher for propulsion. She is elated at the news, but a yeoman reports that the Falcon won't answer any hails. EnsViews Comic Review
