Star Wars Collectors' Stage
W303 ABC

11:30-12:30 -- Star Wars Patches
An in-depth look at Star Wars and Star Wars related-patches with collectors Tony Damata and Ken Tarleton. Learn about old and new licensed patches, hard-to-find cast and crew patches, various club patches, and fan-made patches. You'll also get the scoop on which exclusive patches to be on the look-out for at Celebration V. Attendees are encouraged to bring their extra patches to the panel, as there will be time for questions and answers, and to trade patches with other collectors.

1:00-2:00 -- Humorous Star Wars Items
Duncan Jenkins' presentation on Humorous Star Wars Items is back! And with so many new items added to Duncan's updated repertoire, Star Wars fans will both laugh and groan at some of these humorous collectibles released over the years. For many, the concept of a humorous collectible is not readily obvious. But some of the best attention-grabbing collectibles are the ones that make collectors smile, laugh, or think "I can't believe they made that!" From Jabba the Hutt on a Peach Melba Yogurt Cup to six-foot Ewoks On Ice Skates, the Star Wars collectibles universe has had some very funny licensed items. For a look at some of the best Star Wars inspired, humorous collectibles, check out this panel, and don't forget to wear your Boba Fett Underoos.

2:30-3:30 -- Partners in Collecting
Join us for the untold story of Star Wars collecting from a partner's point of view! Our panelists Anne Jenkins, Pam Green, Bob Canning, Marjorie Carvalho, and Kim McElwain -- all partners of some of the biggest Star Wars collectors in the world - explore the highs and lows of living with a collector and their collection. Learn the secrets of surviving life with a collector, enjoy some of our favorite travel stories, and find out whether the collecting bug is really contagious.

4:00-5:00 -- The End of Star Wars Collecting?
Shrunken heads, baseball cards, trolls, stamps and coins, Beanie Babies, Star Wars...there are thousands of collecting hobbies. History has shown that all hobbies follow a predictable evolutionary path ending with their disappearance. The only difference is how quickly that inevitable end arrives. What does the future hold for Star Wars collecting? Is the end near? Or will Star Wars buck the historical trend and last forever? Collectors Martin Thurn, Charlie Marcus, Eliing Haug, Isaac Lew, and Mark Salotti will draw on the wisdom and experience of three generations of Star Wars collectors to offer answers these questions and more.

Written in the form of a mystery case file, this quirky novel tells the story of Dwight, a "total loser," who dispenses surprisingly sage advice to his classmates through an origami finger puppet of Yoda. Origami Yoda predicts the date of a pop quiz, knows who has a crush on whom, and saves several kids from total social humiliation. Tommy, one of Dwight's savvier classmates, can't understand how Origami Yoda can be so wise when Dwight himself is so clueless. Is the puppet somehow tapping into the Force? With the help of his classmates, Tommy attempts to discover the mystery behind... The Strange Case of Origami Yoda.

1:00-2:00 -- Star Wars Filming Locations
Seasoned location hunters Gus Lopez and Brandon Alinger present an overview of the filming locations used for both the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy. They will also showcase a location that has not previously been found by fans.

2:30-3:30 -- Fandom in 140 Words or Less
Join Mandy Bulat, from the popular blog TheAdorkable.Net, and Eric Geller, Social Media Director for TheForce.Net, for a discussion about the impact of social media on Star Wars fandom. Joining Mandy and Eric will be a stellar cast of popular social media experts. The panel will focus on the rise of the Star Wars "new media" -- live-blogging and tweeting.

4:00-5:00 -- Fan Movies: From Dream to Screen
Shane Felux, director of Star Wars: Revelations, Pitching Lucas, and Trenches, is on hand to share tips, tricks, and hard-earned experience with aspiring dreamers and filmmakers. Learn about putting together a cast and crew, how to delegate, why pre-production is the most important stage of any project, and the key to keeping yourself motivated when "The End" seems impossibly far away.
