Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare

Jedi Journals Books: New Essential Guides

We are proud to present the cover for the newest of the Essential Guides, The Essential Guide to Warfare, by Jason Fry. While this book was originally due out in August of this year, it's recently been bumped back to March 2012, according to editor Erich Schoeneweiss. "The decision to move the book was based on our overall publishing strategy for the non-fiction books, not the book itself," says Schoeneweiss, who also mentions that 2012 will see the release of Pablo Hidalgo's The Essential Reader�s Companion.

Erich let us know that "Dan Wallace and myself have been talking about the third edition to the Essential Guide to Characters," which is only the tip of the iceberg! There is also talk of an updated Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels as well as the never before seen The Essential Guide to the Underworld! "It�s much too early to discuss either of those in any detail," but when asked more about the Underworld guide Erich mentioned "we�re all excited about the possibility of publishing this book."

And, on a final note, while it may seem a shoe-in after the success of the previous Making of books, Erich let us know that the Making of Return of the Jedi hasn't been green-lit.
