Star Wars: The Jedi Path Update

Wow, I have not been so excited since the Star Wars: Atlas (co-authored by Daniel Wallace). Amazon and starwars.com updated yesterday with an amazing preview of the upcoming The Jedi Path. We first announced this book waaay back in January, and now we have an official release-date: September 28!!!!

Anyway, here's what amazon has to say about the book (the link also includes a video):

This ancient training manual, crafted by early Jedi Masters, has educated and enlightened generations of Jedi. Jedi who added personal commentary: Yoda, Thame Cerulian, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Sidious, and Luke Skywalker.

Removable features: A letter tracing the book?s history, a severed Padawan braid, a metal Jedi Credit medallion, a Jedi starfighter patch, a burned poster of the Jedi Code, a map of the Jedi Temple, a lightsaber diagram sketched on the back of a napkin from Dex?s Diner, and a note on the missing pages torn from the book by a Sith.

Created in collaboration with Lucasfilm?along with an acclaimed Star Wars author and revered Star Wars illustrators?this volume provides new insights into the history and lore of the Jedi Order while introducing never-before-seen ships, creatures, characters, and details about how one trains to become a Jedi.

And author Daniel Wallace elaborated some more on his blog:

The Jedi Path was conceived as a textbook that was carried by young Initiates and Padawans to guide their instruction in the Jedi Temple. It's supposed to look like an in-universe artifact that fell through a rabbit hole from the galaxy far, far away. In fact, this copy is ostensibly the last one in existence following Order 66 and the destruction of the Jedi Temple.

The book itself contains the wisdom of eight revered Jedi who put their thoughts to paper approximately 1,000 years before the events of the movies. This particular copy was printed approx a century before the movies, falling into the consecutive hands of Yoda, Thame Cerulian, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Sidious, and Luke Skywalker. All of the owners left handwritten comments in the margins so they could complain, educate, mope, or gloat.

Amazing book... But alas, it will be mine!!!! Remember there's only one surviving copy? Well, I just pre-ordered the copy on amazon!!!! LOL!!!
