You can visit the original Facebook announcement post to provide a little feedback as to what Star Wars novels you might personally include in a 10 book bundle. It looks as though Del Rey has tried to not only touch on the wide range of Star Wars time periods but also provide a little variety in the subject matter. I personally found the addition of Hard Contact to be an interesting choice considering how there ended up being conflicts in canon between that novel series and The Clone Wars. That being said, it's still a fantastic novel. I'm not saying I wouldn't include it, it just simply jumped out at me upon first viewing the list. And while we're at it, if I were to create my own list, I might swap out Crosscurrent in order to add Darth Plagueis. I very much enjoyed Crosscurrent and look forward to more Paul Kemp novels, but no novel in recent history has had more implications and connections to the films themselves. Plagueis was adored by EU lovers and detractors alike. I'd think it would be a great addition to a bundle of novels geared towards drawing in new fans to the EU.
It was nice getting to briefly say hi to the folks over at the Del Rey booth during Star Wars Celebration. Those guys love their Star Wars and really seem to enjoy connecting with the fans. The Star Wars Books Facebook page has become a wonderful place for EU fans to connect and catch up on book-related news. Cheers to the Del Rey staff for their continuing efforts. They really know how to pump you up for a novel release!
