Early Del Rey Praise For Darth Plagueis Novel

While yes, the folks at Del Rey are interested in selling books so naturally they will pump up their product in order to move product. That being said, one can't deny that the folks running Del Rey's Star Wars Books Facebook page are big time Star Wars fans. They love their work and their enthusiasm for the subject matter comes through on a daily basis. So when I saw the early praise for James Luceno's upcoming Darth Plagueis novel on the SW Books Facebook page, I just had to smile. And of course, now I'm even more excited for not only a story about Plagueis, but for the return of James Luceno to EU novels. Here's what Del Rey had to say...

"Just finished reading an advance copy of Star Wars: Darth Plagueis and it?s mega. Plagueis the Wise is a worthy Master to Palpatine, which brings me to the biggest win: Luceno nails Palpatine. Nails him. Not only that, he makes him an even more compelling character without in any way diminishing his potency. He?s the MAN in this book! I wish he were my mom?s boyfriend"

Star Wars: Darth Plaguies will be available in hardcover and in audio formats on December 27, 2011.
