Han Solo, Chewie, Bollux, and Blue Max are back at it again. This time, a cargo shipment turns out to be slaves--and Han (not to mention Chewie)is no slaver. So... he sets the slaves free and double crosses the guy who set him up.

All I'm gonna say is READ THE BOOK, READ THE BOOK, READ THE BOOK... These early novels are some of the best. This book introduces the swoop for the first time: (excerpt from novel follows)
"...It was what was usually called a "swoop"-- essentially an overpowered repulsor engine pod with handlebars..." Copyright 1979, Lucasfilm, Ltd.
The only other appearance of swoops in SW novels has been in "Shadows of the Empire" by Steve Perry. They can also be seen in Star Wars: Special Edition. Definitely, definitely cool!
Darin:
Darin forgot to say what wasn't so great about the book!

The orange book cover--won't these artists ever pick a beautiful color--like maroon?
