Jacen and Jaina take a break from the Jedi Academy to go home to Coruscant. They take along Lowie and Tenel Ka. While there, they visit their old friend who lives in the depths of the city planet. Unfortunately, he is kidnapped by the Shadow Academy as a potential evil Jedi candidate and the twins attempt to save him. But does he really want to be saved?
Scott:
Some interesting new characters are introduced in this book. The twins friend and guardian are likeable and intriguing additions to the SW Universe. Also, there is an interesting scene in which the Jedi are doing their physical training. You don't see that very often.
Scott:
Not really much happens in this book other that the kid gets kidnapped. This really could have been a few pages added to another one of the books. Also, I found it hard to swallow that the Shadow Academy could park their Battle Station in orbit around a busy planet like Coruscant and not be noticed, especially after the stunt Thrawn pulled in the Zahn Trilogy.
Scott:
Yet again, the price. $5. I should have let Darin buy it and fill me in on the details!
