As Jacen, Jaina, and the Gang continue to learn the ways of the Force, they are kidnapped by a former student of Luke's who has turned to the Dark Side and started an evil Jedi training station, the Shadow Academy. Helped by the Nightsisters and Qoorl, the TIE pilot from the first novel, they attempt to turn our heroes to the Dark Side. Luke and Tenel Ka come to the rescue!

Scott:

    This novel had a lot of action and humor, which I always like to see in a SW novel. It also showed Lando at yet another get rich quick scheme which I liked to see as well. I thought it was cool to see some Nightsisters and Tenel Ka duke it out. The kid finally lived up to her reputation. The Sahdow Academy's Battle Station was also a nice touch.

Scott:

    Luke had a student go to the Dark side? He started a Shadow Academy? He got recruits and supplies? He joined the Nightsisters? When did all this happen? Did I miss something? Go back! I want to hear that story! Too much got skipped over! I keep expecting to hear how all of this happened, but I keep getting denied. Also, the people who run the Shadow Academy seem more incompetent than evil. Who's stupid idea was it to try to turn the kids to the Dark Side anyway? Those baddies should have known it would never work!

    Definitely the Nightsisters, also getting your leg broke. Ouch! That hadda hurt!
