This book details, and I do mean details, the making of The Empire Strikes Back. It has everything from detailing what they ate for breakfast, to where they stayed, to conversations about major changes to the dialogue. It contains nice, rare behind the scenes photos, a list of cast and crew, and the shooting schedule of the film.

This book is a must for any Star Wars nut. It is a really great source for trivia. I admit I haven't read the entire thing, but what I did read really stuck in my mind. For example, it talks about how Harrison Ford on his way to the set in Norway rode a train engine through a blizzard to make it to the crew. It also has written down the full conversation between Harrison Ford, Irvin Kershner, and Carrie Fisher which led up to the famous lines "I love you!","I know." It even details the hardships of filming ESB. At one point Carrie Fisher breaks out into tears because she is so frustrated that the Director keeps making dialogue changes with Harrison Ford and not telling her (she did have a legitimate gripe, and Harrison and the director did apologize to her!) It even talks about the problems of making just the right amount of smoke for the freezing chamber scene. Very cool!

This book is a paperback and has no color photos. Oh, yeah, did I mention it was no longer in print? Good Luck finding it!

Trying to find a way to get Del Rey to republish this book!
