This is a Young Readers Book.
The Empire regroups on Kessel and rallies around their new leader, Trioculus, the three eyed supposed son of the Emperor. However, the Prophets of the Dark Side have foreseen that their new leader will wear the Glove of Darth Vader. Thus, Trioculus attempts to find it.
As Luke and the Gang try to stop him, the search for Vader's Indestructible Glove leads them to Calamari, Ackbar's watery homeworld. Don't ask us how the glove goes from the Death Star explosion the the other side of the galaxy. Anyway, the chase leads them all into the middle of an illegal Whaladon hunting ring. Yes, the Empire hunts whales and eats them. How un-PC of them. Don't they know Whaladons are intelligent?!

This book has an absolutely beautiful cover by Drew Struzan. He does great work as usual. The interior also has neat little drawings by ILM artist Benton Jew. Finally, there's a neat little dictionary of terms for readers unfamiliar with the Star wars Universe. Very handy!

So this is what kissing your sister is like. This book does not really follow SW Continuity at all. As for the rest of my complaints, I'll let the book speak for itself....
"Dweeeet bchooo tzniiiiiiiiiiiit!" beeped Artoo-Detoo.
Han to Leia on why he must leave her: "Maybe so, but Lando's offered me a lease on a piece of sky near Cloud City. I've always dreamed of having a place of my own, and I figure it's about time Chewie and I built my dream sky house."
Trioculus: "My father, the Emperor, had many powers of the Dark Side. But without three eyes he could never achieve perfection."
Oh, man, that's enough. This is too painful. Ugh.

I wonder what a Whaladon burger tastes like? Chicken?
