Diplomatic Corps Entrance Exam
by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

Published by Del Rey

Scott's Rating:   3 out of 4

This Star Wars Trivia Book is set up in the format of a Diplomatic Corps Entrance Exam, as the title states. By answering questions from the films, books, comics, and role playing games, you determine which role you are best suited for. Questions include History, Ship ID, quotes, Jedi history, geography, customs, biology, and more. You can rank from Ambassador to Research assistant depending on your score.

Scott:

The premise of this book is really great. The idea of an entrance exam is a lot of fun. I'm pretty well read in the Star Wars Universe, and there were still one or two...or more...questions that stumped me. But usually they were pretty obscure. At least they challenge every level Star Wars Fan. My favorite part was the ship ID section. I liked catching up on some of the RPG and book ships. This is good because it is one of the most complete Trivia books made so far in that it covers the comics and books. None of the others have done that before. That is the only reason I gave it 3 Death Stars rather than 2 1/2.

Scott:

Remember the coloring books you had as a kid? Remember the kind of paper in them? Well that's the kind of paper that this is made of. At first I thought, "At least this will make it less expensive." However, the book cost $10. Hmmm. At about 100 pages, that's about 10 cents a page, right? Is it worth that? Also, there weren't a heck of a lot of questions compared to the unofficial trivia book. If you have to choose one or the other, I'd go for the Unofficial book. At least it covers the Special Editions and the behind the scenes stuff. This is probably more geared toward kids, though.

Scott:

Bright Orange cover. My retinas are burning! Aaaaahhh!
