Scott's Rating: 3.5 out of 4
This teeny tiny hardback book has photos and information on 50 creatures, places, weapons, droids, and other objects from Epiosde I. It measures 2.75" by 3.25".
Scott:
This book is a good resource for photos of everything besides the characters in Episode I. Highlights of this book include good, fully body shots of the sea creatures and Naboo creatures. You'll get some good shots of the things in the Jedi utility belt like the underwater breathing device and the holoprojector. Others are a good view of the mechanical chair and the 2001 Pod in Watto's Junkyard. The brief factoids are also good for quick reference.
Scott:
Like the others in this series, the novelty of the book is the small size, the photos, and the text. I wanted it for the photos, but the book is so small you don't get great detail. That's the main drawback. If you want photos, then the Visual Dictionary is probably going to give you more bang for your buck. The price is another thing. It is $6. I think you could spend that money elsewhere and get a better value. But for what this book sets out to do, it does very well. That's why I gave it 3.5 out of 4.
Scott:
This book allows you to see the full ugly glory of the Opee Sea Killer and the Colo Clawfish. But then again my Cajun friends in Louisiana cook things like this up and eat them all the time. :) It's amazing what a little hot sauce will do.
