Atlanta Braves to Host Star Wars? Night at Turner Field this Friday to Benefit Stand Up To Cancer

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves will use the Force for good during Star Wars Night at Turner Field Friday, August 3, when the Braves host the Houston Astros at 7:35 p.m. Discounted tickets are available online at braves.com/starwars and include a donation to Stand Up To Cancer, a movement created to raise funds to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives.
Star Wars-themed sights and sounds will take over the ballpark making for a night that no Jedi (or Sith) will want to miss! Costumed characters, including R2D2, Darth Vader, Jedi Knights, Storm Troopers, Scout Troopers, and Clone Wars Troopers will be on hand for the night and fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters. Prior to the Braves vs. Astros matchup, a Chewbacca calling contest will be held in Fan Plaza and an ?Empire? of Star Wars-clad fans will parade around the field during a unique pregame ceremony. Immediately following the game, the Publix Friday Night Fireworks will be shot to Star Wars-themed music.
