"Czech Republic (heart of Europe, former Czechoslovakia) is preparing for 16.9 premiere of Episode 1. Tickets are on sale, but there is no problems getting them. No information about lines forming in front of theatres at all. TPM has been translated in Czech by my buddy - a SW veteran translator F.F. so let's hope he did a good job - or else! There will be two subtitled copies in (very) limited release for English speaking audience. They will initially run in Prague and Brno. TPM toys arrived in stores recently and I have scanned a commercial leaflet for you. They are doing some kind of a contest where you can win the toys. The most interesting part are the prices. Just for more comparison - a good meal for one in a good but not luxurious restaurant comes between 50-100 Kc. Movie tickets range between 40-100 Kc. The minimum wage here is about 3800-3700 Kc or so. Now look at the price of the Podrace lego - 3.799 Kc???? I almost died of laughter. Then let's have a look at Dart Maul's cool light saber. Now I could use one, so let's see - 1.999 Kc??? You can visit a very good red light district twice for this much money!!! But Darth Maul is cool so I decided to get at least his action figure. After all it is only 449 Kc. Then, after some thinking, I decided I will get that beautifully decorated carpet I have been eyeing for some time. I will even have enough left to go see TPM once :-))) panTau over and out"
