Ryan
Farnes sent me yet another cool picture.
"I decided to follow the
Jango Fett theme again, but this time on Kamino. I
have one image. Here it is: Jango Fett's ship sitting
on a landing platform on Kamino. There is a rain storm
out in the distance as well as a city, the horizon
is full of the ocean and the "platform deck's" surface
is the one Obi-Wan and Jango battle on. Enjoy! ".

Luke
sent in a couple of pictures he made in Photoshop.
Today, I'm posting the first one;
I'll post the others later.
"Howdy Roderick My name is Luke (yes, that is
my real name) and I'm from Australia. All the pictures
you've been posting are great, and inspired to whip
up a couple of my own yesterday. I used Photoshop
to create them, and hope that at least one of them
is good enough for you to post. Keep up the good work
on your site! This pic is of the scene with Mace Windu
and Obi-Wan having a discussion on a balcony high
above Coruscant".

A
great picture from Germany this time. Dennis shows
us what must be one of the most tragic scenes of Episode
II: right after the traumatic events during which
his mother Shmi is killed by a couple of Tusken Raiders,
Anakin loses control and gives in to his anger and
hatred. He takes revenge and kills the Tusken Raiders.
Here's what Dennis writes: "Hi!
I love the idea of the Virtual Edition website! It's
great! This is Dennis "Clem" Stoye from Germany and
maybe somebody like my vision of Anakin's way to the
dark side of the force. The image shows Anakin on
Tatooine and his encounter with the tusken raiders!
May the Force be with you!". Dennis made a high-resolution
version of his picture: click on it to see his art
in all it's full-screen glory!

Ryan
Farnes sent in another great picture. This is the
first picture on the Virtual Edition that features
the now famous 'shocktroopers':
"Roderick, Thanks for posting
my pictures. I take it not too many people have sent
stuff if mine are getting posted. I used Fractal Painter
4 on those and for this new one I used Fractal Painter
5. Hope you enjoy. This is a picture of clonetroopers
fighting droids near the arena during the climatic
battle." Ryan, you're way too modest.
Your pictures are awesome! Keep up the good work!

and Jango fighting on Kamino
|
[April
24, 2001 - posted by Roderick]
The
fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jango Fett on Kamino
continues to inspire a lot of fan-art. Today's picture
was sent to me from France:
"Hi Roderick ! Let me introduce myself : My name
is Sofiane BERLAT and I'm french. Last week, I was
watching "The Virtual Edition"'s main page and I decide
to create some images. This is my first one. It shows
OB1 and Jango fighting on Kamino. OB1 is runing over
Jango and the bountuy hunter is shooting the jedi.
But OB1 deflects every shot. To create Jango, I've
analyze different pictures (2 Episode II selects and
a spy picture). That's why I'm sure I know that Jango
will look like this. I hope you like it. Now I'm working
on a scene in ther arena with Mace Windu which will
coming soon. Good Bye Roderick, and may the force
be with you . ;-)"
Thanks
for the nice picture, and keep sending me your artwork!

got a bad feeling about this...

[April

Here's
another picture by Ryan Farnes, who also made the
other two Geonosis pictures in the last update.
This picture shows what happens to Obi-Wan on the
rocky planet of Geonosis: "A reluctant Obi-Wan
Kenobi is surrounded by droids on Geonosis, right
before he is captured. You can see what's left of
the first droids he ran into; they're smoking in the
distance. Also in the background are the stalagmite
towers."

do you think of this picture? Post your comments HERE.
I've received some more great pictures that I'll post
soon. I'd love to see some pictures of the now famous
'shocktroopers' or 'clonetroopers' in action, so if
you feel inspired, please send me your artwork!

Ryan
Farnes mailed me these two awesome pictures.
Here are Ryan's comments on the first picture: "This
is Jango Fett's approach to Geonosis with the droid
control ships orbiting the planet." The second
picture: "This is Slave I sitting on Geonosis
with the stalagmite towers in the background. I kind
of have them as the factories with the smoke coming
out and the droids being made inside."

Darth
Michael mailed me his 'virtual edition' of a scene
that takes place in the cloning facilities on Geonosis.
Here are Michael's comments: "I just finished
this picture. It's a shot of Obi-Wan examining the
Geonosis cloning chambers with Jango Fett taking aim
in the background. Since they haven't really released
any pics of Jango yet, I had to use what I could find.
Well, in any case, I hope you like it! Thanks!"

Happy
Easter to all of you! I
hope you enjoy your holiday (if you have one). The
RSI is still making it impossible for me to work longer
than a few minutes on the computer each time... just
enough time to do these small updates.
Tyler mailed me a nice picture of the jedi fighting
a couple of destroyers in the arena on Geonosis. "I
was reading through the plot, and I thought I would
make a pic of the arena battle on Geonisis, that you
could use on your site if you wanted too. Although
I don't think Plo Koon is in the arena at the time,
he is on the control ship with Ki-Adi Mundi."
Good work!

I've got two pictures by Ryan
Farnes from Washington D.C:
Here's what Ryan writes: "the first picture is
a possible evening approach of Amidala's entourage
to Coruscant at the beginning of Episode II. The other
picture is of 2 scout Naboo N-1 fighters doing fly-overs
of Amidala's landing platform. I am kind of new to
this image stuff so I know they aren't that great
but you knew hey... "

Scott
Rogers created this excellent picture of Mace
Windu and Jango Fett fighting the Reek (and each other)
in the arena. Here's what Scott writes:
"Hi Roderick, I've been enjoying your site for
quite some time. In a burst of Star Wars enduced excitement
over the storyboards that leaked from ILM, I created
the following virtual image of Mace and Jango Fett
fighting the Reek in the arena. Perhaps you can use
it at your site. Best, Scott Rogers"
Thanks
Scott, you did a great job!

been sending me some really cool pictures to post
. The picture above is made by Tom Nahas from Clinton
Twp Michigan. Here's what he writes:
"Hey Roderick, It tried to get this as close
to allowed size as I could. However, it was something
I had started a while ago. Hope you like it. Obviously
it is Mace in the Arena fighting the Droids".
Pretty cool. Keep sending me your 'virtual editions'
of Episode II scenes (try to use the 'widescreen'
dimensions: width=470 height=200)
