Rumor Alert: Fin24 had a story regarding the success of the Wii that happened to grab our attention. The article goes on to commend the console for its remarkable sales as well as its unique design allowing for fun group gameplay. The interesting part fell in the middle of the story when the writer went into discussing the slash and thrust swordplay of the new Pirates of the Caribbean game:
"The head of the LucasArts, the game division for "Star Wars" series creator George Lucas, told AFP a Wii game that lets players wield virtual light sabers is on the horizon."
Who knows what this means for now. It could be referencing gameplay on the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga coming out in the fall. Just a guess. We will have to wait and see...and naturally let you know if we hear something official.
