Catching Up With Star Wars: The Old Republic

Posted By Mike on February 12, 2012

There aren't an over abundance of new TOR links for you this week, but the official site of Star Wars: The Old Republic did launch a new Friday Q&A series that you may find interesting. In last Friday's installment BioWare's Daniel Erickson and Gabe Amatangelo answered 15 fan-submitted questions. Below is an excerpt from Erickson which touches on a new Warzone for Update 1.2. Make sure to click here for the full read.

"We?ve been pleasantly surprised at how popular PvP is in The Old Republic and we?ve been doubling down on our efforts to bring exciting new content and systems to the PvP community. Right now there?s a new Warzone planned for Game Update 1.2 which we?re already testing internally and really enjoying. We can say it?s enabled for same faction vs. same faction play, so if you?ve been playing a lot of Huttball, expect some variety soon! Also coming in 1.2 is the pre-season of our Warzone ranking system, bringing better matchmaking which means better PvP. In the future expect a ton more PvP news as we expand and polish what has proven to be one of the most popular aspects of The Old Republic. We?ve got big plans."

NerdApproved.com points us right back to the SWTOR.com forums for a nice Old Republic lightsaber hilt line-up that you can view by clicking on the image above.

While Star Wars: The Old Republic had a fantastic late December launch, Kotaku reports that December was a very good month for World of Warcraft as well. Can't we all just get along?!?

And finally, it seems as though TOR now has a hip hop mix tape from Ritchie Branson. Click here but parents be advised of explicit lyrics.
