Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Nintendo Gamecube
Reviewed by Anakin Solo Reborn.

Jedi Knight II picks up so many years after its predecessor and unlike some sequels actually is better. The story is compelling and really draws you in and nicely fits in with the EU world unlike Jedi Knight I (I cant believe that seven dark Jedi?s can exist without Luke knowing about them). I?m not gonna reveal the story as this will spoil it but needless to say it would make one hell of a good book (one to rival I, Jedi I think)

Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay is superb. What they have done is take a lot of the best bits from every first person game and thrown them into the star wars universe and best of all you?re a Jedi! The controls suite the pad well and soon you?ll be running around killing stormtroopers left right and centre. This game also includes very memorable moments that most games scratch the surface off (Fighting alongside Luke is so COOL)

Graphics 8/10
This again are brilliant in game and the ?ship? cut scenes are some of the best ever (the rouge squadron scene is one of my all time favourites). The only point the graphics let down is during the ?talking? scenes, they appear to be blurry and the characters heads move very stiff. Also the mouth sinc is totally out of time with the voice but other than this points the graphics are some of the best I?ve seen in a Star Wars game (On a side note the graphice on P.C and Xbox are much sharper and clearer than on the gamecube version)

Sound 10/10
This bit rocks, all your fave Star Wars music is in there as well as sound that must be taken from the films, also the voice acting is really good and Billy Dee Williams (AKA Lando) add his voice reprising his role of Lando.

Multiplayer 9/10
This bit a whole other ball game not since Goldeneye on the N64 have I spend so much time playing a single multiplayer game. There is loads of options that can keep you and your mates engrossed for hours and theres the option to play on your own with a load of computer controlled bots. Many hours have been waisted by me and ma mate Robb hunting down Jedi in this great multiplayer.

Replay Value 10/10
I can?t stop playing this game its so darn good. The best way to describe it is The Empire Strikes Back, you?ve seen it loads of times but you keep on going back for more.
