New TCW Season 4 Info From SWW

Posted By Eric on May 20, 2011

While The Clone Wars Season 4 remains almost entirely mysterious, we do have one important tidbit that sheds some light on the nature of the next twenty-two episodes. During today's Clone Wars: Behind the Force panel at the first of this summer's Star Wars Weekends, TCW Supervising Director Dave Filoni revealed that the fourth season's subtitle will be "Battle Lines." That certainly suggests that we'll be seeing grittier and fiercer conflicts than ever before.

Here are a few other highlights from the "Behind the Force" panel.

  • A "making of TCW" video was played. It featured Dave Filoni and George Lucas.
  • Children asked Dave questions, including why he and his team killed Jedi Master Even Piell. (Dave basically said, "Somebody had to die.")
  • Someone mentioned The ForceCast and asked about the possibility of a Ben Quadinaros appearance in The Clone Wars.
  • A trailer for Season 4 was shown. Our own Mandy B., who was in attendance, reports that it was extremely good. She also mentioned "some new tiny alien" -- hopefully StarWars.com will post this trailer soon so we can find out more about him/her/it and everything else that was shown.

You can find a full recap of the panel here.

Stay tuned for more Star Wars Weekends coverage from Mandy B.!
