Starwars.com have posted some news regarding the new Lucasfilm Animation division in Singapore. The facility has officially opened and everyone seems excited about this new venture, even the boss man himself!

"We're very excited about the opening of a new studio," said George Lucas. "Our first series -- a TV adventure titled Clone Wars, based on the time between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith -- is already in active development and we hope to see it on the air in 2007."

Its also good to know that Henry Gilroy will be the head writer and editor for this new series as he has experience in the Star Wars expanded universe with his work on the Dark Horse adaptations of Episodes I and II.
