It looks as though Family Guy's take on A New Hope had some fantastic preliminary ratings last night. Well, this could only mean one thing...we need to see the characters of Family Guy pay homage to The Empire Strikes Back next. According to the blogs at TVWeek.com, the odds are good. (But I would never think of telling you the odds) See the quote below:
"Posting a 5.5 preliminary rating among adults 18 to 49, the episode was the highest-rated ?Family Guy? since the show returned to Fox in 2005 (full weekend ratings will be posted soon). A spokesman for 20th Century Fox Television said there?s no official announcement on a sequel, but doing ?Empire? next year ?seems likely.?'

UPDATE: IESB.net is reporting that the Family Guy Empire Strikes Back episode is officially a go. According to Mila Kunis, the actress who voices Meg, the cast has done a table read and Seth MacFarlane himself confimed this as well. This seems to fall in line with our Blue Harvest on DVD report here that suggested that there will be a teaser trailer for the Empire parody on the DVD.
