Clancy Brown Talks Savage Opress At SW.com

Posted By Mike on January 8, 2011

As we collectively catch our breath from last night's episode of The Clone Wars, Starwars.com reminds us that Savage Opress is right around the corner. Bonnie Burton got a chance to chat with actor Clancy Brown about his new Clone Wars voice acting role, his previous Star Wars fandom and his hopes for Comic Con Savage costumes. Check out the intro below but make sure to click here for the interview.

"Actor Clancy Brown has trained young cadets as Career Sergeant Zim to kill gigantic alien insects in Starship Troopers, supervised sea creatures to make the perfect sandwich as Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob Squarepants, and tormented Superman as Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series, just to name a few iconic roles.

In December, fans flocked to digital theaters for very exclusive Clone Wars screenings to see Brown as Savage Opress in a story-arc written by Katie Lucas. Now fans can see Savage Opress on The Clone Wars, Jan. 14 on Cartoon Network.

StarWars.com chats with Brown about his role as the new complex Clone Wars villain, why he's having fun sharing Star Wars with his son, and how cool it would be to see a posse of Darth Mauls at Comic-Con."
