this Bothan was one of the many new Jedi Knights who graduated from Luke Skywalker's Jedi praxeum on Yavin 4 during the era of the New Republic. Upon achieving the rank of Jedi Knight, Ly'alu was assigned to monitor the planet Ryloth, both for Force-sensitive individuals and to keep and eye open for Jedi interests on the planet. He felt that he was up to the task, but after learning that most Twi'leks could communicate with their lekku, Tensh suddenly found himself floundering. He struggled to learn the Lekku language, in an effort to enhance his already formidable information gathering skills.
