this plump woman joined Kyp Durron and the Kyp's Dozen starfighter squadron shortly before Coruscant fell to the Yuuzhan Vong. She was an affable woman, but she had a short temper and never forgot any slight against her. Veema was killed when the Dozen showed up after the Yuuzhan Vong had taken Coruscant. Her ship holed by a plasma bomb, while she was trying to escort a freighter full of refugees away from Coruscant. Her X-Wing exploded, killing Veema and setting off a chain reaction which destroyed the freighter as well.
