He, along with his droid companions Q-E and U-E, used to run the local nursery but were ordered by Master Vuldo to build illegal blasters. After U-E was destroyed by Vuldo, Q-E and 2-E got C-3PO, R2-D2, and Nak to help them expose Vuldo's scheme.
