The duel was over when the first blow was landed, when first blood was drawn, or when one of the combatants became unconscious. The exact details were agreed to by the duelists. Killing an opponent was forbidden in a tente duel, and those beings who killed their opponents were often marooned on a barely-inhabitable moon.
