Jeni & Joel's Star Wars Wedding

Our Wedding was August 4th, in the Seattle Repertory Theatre in Seattle Center. We had a full soundtrack made up, lighting effects, smoke machines, and an awesome light sabre fight. I was dressed as Queen Amidala in her white celebration dress, and Joel, the groom, was Luke from Return of the Jedi, wearing the black suit. The groomsmen were Jedi's, the officiant was a Jedi Master, and the bridesmaids were Queen Amidala's handmaidens.
A few minutes into the ceremony, an alarm went off in the theatre saying "Imperial Troops have entered the base, Imperial Troops have entered the....." and Darth Vader, led by a group of Storm Troopers (from the Fighting 501st) and Boba Fett, interupted the ceremony. That started a four minute light sabre fight between Joel and Darth Vader that covered the stage, back stage and isles through the audience. After Darth Vader force threw Joel on his back, he said "I am your father" and the Storm Troopers started to take off Darth's helmet. As soon as the helmet was off, my dad was revealed, and Joel said "No your not!!!" everyone laughed, because it wasn't Joels dad, it was my dad (thats why it was funny!). My dad gave me away, and the wedding went on.
Then the rings were missing... Two little Jawa's had snuck onstage, and stole the rings from the best man without anyone from the wedding party noticing, except the audience saw it all, and they were laughing again. When Joel and his best man saw the Jawa's celebrating on the side of the stage, they grabbed the rings back from them, and the Jawa's ran off. The wedding went on from there, including both of us messing up on our vows, and ended with "May the Force be with you, Always." The closing music from Episode 1 played as we walked off stage, and we all partied into the night. We even had the Cantina Band play our reception!!!
Our costumes were handmade as a wedding present to us, and were very beautiful, with changes made in the designs to make them more personal to us. The theater staff worked very hard on the lighting, sound effects and everything. Joel and I planned our brains out on this wedding. Our cake had Queen Amidala's crest and the Rebel symbol all over it, and the invitations had our own Star Wars crawler story on them. The whole wedding rocked.
