The ForceCast, the official podcast network of TheForce.Net and Rebelscum.com, re-launches today, bringing in new hosts for a new era of Star Wars. Erik Blythe and Eric Geller will helm the network's flagship program, The Weekly ForceCast. They will release their first episode tomorrow, February 14th, 2013. Blythe and Geller will also serve as co-moderators of The Clone Wars Roundtable, along with Star Wars artist Spencer Brinkerhoff III.
Eric Geller, a college student from Maryland, wears a variety of hats as a member of TheForce.Net's staff. Since 2009, he has been The Clone Wars Reviewer for TheForce.Net, as well as the Social Media Director for TFN, Rebelscum, and The ForceCast. In 2010, he began serving as The ForceCast's Senior Web Editor, handling a variety of online operations for the show and assisting the hosts in a variety of behind-the-scenes capacities. He will draw from that experience in his new role as co-host of The Weekly ForceCast and co-moderator of The Clone Wars Roundtable.
Erik Blythe was the sole host of the original, award-winning podcast for TheForce.Net back in 2005. Since then, Erik has been running a podcast network at RandomChatter.com focusing on movies, television, and technology. Aside from Star Wars, Erik is also an avid fan of LOST, Babylon 5, The Walking Dead, the recent reboot of Doctor Who, and science fiction in general. He's also a big fan of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, preferring stories that take place after the original films. He's thrilled to be returning to his Star Wars roots as a co-host and producer of The Weekly ForceCast.
Jedi Journals, The ForceCast's literature-centered program hosted by Rebelscum's 'Jovial' Jay Shepard and Chris Wyman, will continue to provide fans with a monthly dose of Star Wars literature news, interviews, commentary, and analysis. Journals, now in its third year, delves into the Expanded Universe of current and upcoming books, comics and magazines, along with the occasional guest authors including Timothy Zahn, James Luceno, J.W. Rinzler, John Jackson Miller and Joe Schreiber, among others.
