A friend of mine I went to high school with recently found out her 3 year old daughter has Cancer. Her name is Maddie and she is just adorable. It breaks my heart to see anyone, especially young children have to suffer through chemo treatments and long hospital stays. The parents ( Kelly & Ray ) are having a hard time making ends meet. Kelly has depleted her leave and is not drawing a salary. The ambulance ride alone was more than $3K, which is not covered by health insurance.
They are having a benefit at the Taberg Legion ( Taberg, New York ) on September 12th for Maddie. If there is ANYTHING you could donate for the raffles, that would be wonderful. Here is a recent update from her grandmother.
Wyatt and Gracie spent last night with us as Maddie had to be at Upstate at 6:30 AM for catscans and other tests today. She has lost most of her hair, which is the most tangible sign to us that she is fighting for her little life, and now she has mouth sores from the chemo. She also had a sore throat from the tube they put down her throat today while she was sedated, but she still sat on my lap and talked up a storm even tho she couldn't enunciate well. She's a fighter.
The family loves Star Wars and their oldest son Wyatt loves the new Clone Wars cartoon! If you can help please take 5-10 minutes to send in a donation, anything and everything will be greatly appreciated.
Please mail dontations to:
MAHER 4245 WILSON RD EAST TABERG NY 13471

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
