Charles Taylor lets us know that his site, The University of Aldera, has a report on another Anakin contender, 19 year old Canadian actor Hayden Christensen who stars on the Fox Family Channel series Higher Ground. Hayden has also been in Sofia Coppola's new film The Virgin Suicides. Charles met Hayden when appearing in an episode of Higher Ground.

He told me he's a big Star Wars fan (although he didn't really like Episode I) and would love to play Anakin in Ep. II.

That was almost exactly eight months ago and I haven't spoken to Hayden since a few weeks after my role on that show. However, Hayden is a close friend of a good friend of mine and I can tell you this much: I know he has been to Gurland's lair at least two times since October.

Hayden mentioned something a little fishy back in July: "This is a good part [his role in Higher Ground] for me. Not only is it good steady work, but my contract allows me to leave the show temporarily to do any movies I get signed for."
