Simon Graham, aka TK0282, Southern Squad Leader of the United Kingdom Garrison, sends in this report of their activities at the LSO concert "From Star Wars to Schindler's List" which took place on Sunday, February 20th:
The Garrison were hidden out of the public view until the last piece of music before the interval, which was the Imperial March. At a set moment, the stormtroopers entered looking very menacing to the amazement of the audience.
However the best was to come.
The encore at the end of the performance was ET. Once this was over, the audience began to applaud thinking the concert was over, but from the left of the stage, Darth Vader appeared followed closely by Boba Fett.
After a mock saber duel with the conductor, who was then taken away by stormtroopers, Vader took his place on the podium.
Boba Fett meanwhile had taken custody of some cymbals (the guy as Fett actually played percussion in the RAF), and played live in costume with the LSO conducted by Darth Vader.
The Stormtroopers re-appeared when the music started.
At the end, the conductor re-appeared, and along with Vader and Fett they were given a standing ovation.
The UK Garrison were honoured to be part of this night as the music from Star Wars is the signature tune of the London Symphony Orchestra, and to actually get the chance to appear with them in costume to a live rendition of the Imperial March was a dream come true.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
