Tie Fighter Lands In Parade

Sunday�s Crystal Lake Gala Parade (Illinois) will be featuring a 16 by 20 foot float of a Tie Fighter. The article at the Northwest Herald mentions:

"Between 15 and 20 people from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin are expected to don the costumes of three factions of Star Wars characters and march along the TIE fighter. Empirical Stormtroopers will march with rebel allies and lightsaber-wielding Jedi Knights, Whitaker said."

"Empirical"...Nicely put. :)

UPDATE: Friend of TFN, Kevin S., (who went to the parade) sent us this e-mail and link:

"Just got back from the Crystal Lake, Illinois, July 1st GALA Parade, and look at the near Full Size Tie Intercepter that was made for the Star Wars entry. AWESOME. Beat That Pasadena. LoL! The force was strong today in Illinois. Pictures are NOT mine but are free on photobucket.com. BTW...............I was the Old Ben Kenobi costume.
