Our friend Angel ("SithPadawan") from Spain sent along the following sad news:
"I'm a voice dubbing actor in Spain, and a great Star Wars fan too. Today we have had a great loss for the dubbing profession and the spanish Star Wars community. Ricard Palmerola, the voice actor who made the spanish voice for Yoda (Episodes I-II-III) and the Clone Wars series until now, passed away. Ricard dedicated his whole life to radio, radio-dramas, theatre, and voiceover acting, with more than 65 years of continuous work. He was also very very pleased for giving his voice to Yoda. I've talked with friends of him, and they want to remark the great and so much nice person he was all his life.
You can listen to him as Yoda in this spanish trailer for Clone Wars:
May the Force will be with him, always."
Thanks to Angel for the news. We send our thoughts and prayers to Ricard's family and friends.
UPDATE: Learn a little more about the life and work or Ricard Palmerola in an article right here at trueslant.com.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
