ABOUT STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS
Star Wars takes on a dazzling new look in the first-ever animated feature from Lucasfilm Animation – STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS. The galaxy is consumed by the Clone Wars, a massive civil war that has pitted the Separatists and their droid armies against the Republic and its Jedi protectors. To gain an advantage in the ever-escalating conflict, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano are sent on a mission with far-reaching consequences, one that brings them face-to-face with notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Meanwhile, on the front lines, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda lead the clone forces in a valiant effort to resist the forces of the dark side...

The story takes place in the time period between Episode 2 and 3 and focuses on the young years of Anakin Skywalker, before he has gone over to the dark side to become Darth Vader.

ABOUT NYICFF
Established in 1997, NYICFF is North America’s largest festival of film for children and teens. Susan Sarandon, Matthew Modine, James Schamus and Gus van Sant are voting members of the NYICFF Jury. Each year NYICFF scours the globe to present a highly selective slate of the best animation, live action, documentary and experimental film from around the world, with gala premieres, filmmaker Q&As, receptions, workshops, panels, audience voting and the NYICFF Awards ceremony. The upcoming NYICFF 2009 takes place Feb 27-Mar 15 at theaters around the City. NYICFF also produces a “Best of NYICFF” touring festival, year round screenings in New York City, educational programs, film production classes for children, and an online festival at www.gkids.tv
