There's a countdown clock on the LucasArts teaser website for The Force Unleashed II. I spotted this earlier in the day and wasn't sure what to make of it, but I figured things out after the site refreshed this evening.

When I checked out the website at around 12:00pm Eastern Time today, I saw what looked like a backwards clock counting down. By backwards, I mean that the digits in the countdown were literally reversed. It wasn't that hard to figure out what the clock said. I reversed the numbers digit-by-digit; this clock had about seven hours left. Then, at about 7:30pm ET, I saw a Twitter post about the site being updated.

I checked it out, and sure enough, there was new content available, and the timer was now counting down from a much higher number: about 165 hours. Here's what the clock looked like about 55 minutes ago, along with a flipped version.



The times all fit, and if it really is a site refresh countdown, it makes sense that it would "reset" to a large number immediately after an update.

Using a date calculator, I believe I've figured out when the next TFU II teaser site update will take place. Based on my calculations (performed at 8:15pm), the site will update again on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 5:30pm. You can use the tool at that link to track future updates.

Now if only we could predict what the updates would be!
