It's 50 Page Fridays over at Suvudu, and Del Rey is offering up a lengthy excerpt from Paul S. Kemp's next Star Wars novel, Riptide, to get you excited for the book's release next Tuesday.
Shelly Shapiro, Del Rey's editor-at-large for the Star Wars license, wrote the following about Riptide:
"When Paul Kemp turned in his manuscript for CROSSCURRENT?his first Star Wars novel?Sue Rostoni (until recently, managing editor at Lucas Licensing) and I loved the book so much that we signed him up for a sequel, even before we had any sales figures to back up our enthusiasm. We sure were relieved?and vindicated?when CROSSCURRENT hit the New York Times bestseller list. At that point, we were so happy with Paul and his writing for Star Wars that we hired him to write DECEIVED, our second novel tying in to the upcoming Star Wars mmorpg, THE OLD REPUBLIC. Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated.
