Matt and Kas of Westfield Films sent word of a new Star Wars fan film that's looking for a little support in the UK...
"Westfield Films is a collective of creative individuals working together to produce films, music videos, documentaries and comedy sketches. We based in Manchester, UK. Our latest project is a STAR WARS fan short called "Prisoner 66". It is an original film based in the "Star Wars" universe written and directed by Matt Thompson and Kas Latif.
We will be moving into the production stage of the project within the next couple of weeks and are currently in the process of casting. We are working with a great mix of local talent, ranging from professionals to students. Notable members of our team are Carl Whitley (Zombie Aid Charity) and lead make-up artist Alex Williams (Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie" and Ridley Scott's "Prometheus"). We have a Sponsume page for the film, which aims to help us raise necessary funds for the project while giving fans exclusive rewards in return. We think this is a great way to give something back to people that want to help us to make Prisoner 66 successful.
The film is about a Jedi who is diagnosed with an unknown virus that has previously infected and violently killed over sixty Jedi in the past. The other Jedi and medical staff in the facility where he is being held are still none the wiser to the cause of the illness and prepare for his inevitable death. The film follows Prisoner 66's struggle as the virus completely takes over his body and mind, killing him only for him to be reborn as a Sith. Now fuelled with evil intent we see Prisoner 66 break free from his restraints and attempt to escape the facility."
We wish Matt and Kas the best of luck in their film and hope they keep us updated. The plot summary sounds interesting!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
