"Coming to Poland next week, is a very special Star Wars event. Celebrating their 4th anniversary, a fan-group called the BFSW (Bydgoski Fanklub Star Wars - Star Wars Fanclub of Bydgoszcz) decided to organise a fan meeting on the world-famous Obi-Wan Kenobi Street.
Scheduled for May 10th and titled "Star Wars Mayday", the event will feature a presentation of movie costumes, Star Wars games, and other activities for all the family. Most importantly however, I am proud to announce that the guest star of the show will be Star Wars actor Mr. Gerald Home himself!
We are very fortunate indeed to have Mr. Home as our guest for the second time in Poland. Last year's Dagobah 2007 convention, featuring everyone's favourite Squid Head, was truly a memorable event. It received a lot of international attention, with mentions on popular Star Wars websites, including TheForce.Net, Lightsabre, and an appearance on Bantha Tracks!

Our friend Lukasz, sent over the following report as well!
"Mayday Festival & 4th anniversary of the BFSW fanclub Grabowiec near Torun, May 10-11th
The world-famous Obi-Wan Kenobi Street once again appeared in the media spotlight, thanks to the wonderful event organised by Polish Star Wars fans. Celebrating their 4th anniversary, the Bydgoszcz Star Wars Fanclub decided to organise a very special Mayday Festival, which would forever stay in our memories.
Supporting their efforts, was Leszek Budkiewicz, the mastermind behind the Obi-Wan Kenobi Street project. A former distric council member, Leszek first put forward the idea of naming the street after one of the most dedicated heroes of the Clone Wars.
What also made the event unique, was the appearance of the 501st Legion Polish Outpost, soon to be renamed "Polish Garrison". Actor Cezary "Sizar" Zolynski, CO of the outpost, along with several other members, prepared a show for the youngest fans, titled "Force Academy".
Members of the 501st and other costumed Star Wars fans from all over Poland joined forces in a colourful parade through the streets of Grabowiec, capturing the attention of newspaper photographers, television cameramen and casual passers-by. Rarely does a town this size receive so much media attention.
However, it was the Q&A session with Star Wars actor Gerald Home that was the highlight of the whole event. Gerald brought to Poland an official letter from Lucasfilm to all Polish Star Wars fans. A healthy round of applause and cheer after the message was read on stage truly was a sight to behold.
With music and dances and a bonfire, the evening portion of the show had a lot to offer. Co-organised by the local authorities and officials, the events attracted huge crowds, for many of whom this year's Mayday Festival was actually their first contact with Star Wars.
Stories were told, dances were danced and songs were sung until the early hours of the following morning.
