Well, we Star Wars fans love things that come in trilogies...
TFN reader, Laura T. writes in with a new Star Wars on TV reference:
"Thought I?d mention to you that Bravo?s show Top Chef Masters had a Star Wars moment on the episode that aired on April 21. One competitor referred to another chef as ?Chef Kenobi?. One of the judges, Gail Simmons (of Food & Wine magazine), said ?may the force be with you? after the judge?s table discussion. If I am not mistaken, ?Chef Kenobi? (Chef Jonathan Waxman) won the challenge."
The episode being mentioned is episode 3 of season 2 and is titled "Pub Food." (Thanks Laura!)
More Star Wars fun from Etsy as BeatUpCreations offer a number of vintage-looking antique plates that feature the likes of Vader, Stormtroopers, Yoda and more. Scroll through the various pages of plate selections to find all the ones that make us Star Wars fans smile.
So there's apparently now a "Star Wars the Ballet" and it's coming to Columbus, Ohio in June. We're expecting full reports from Ohio natives Dustin Roberts and Jason Swank on this one. (Thanks Dave!)
Sterling Elementary School had a Star Wars day and it looks like the kids were lucky enough to get visits from the 501st and the Rebel Legion. Check out some pics from the Great Lakes Garrison blog at SW.com
GeekTyrant puts the spotlight on a fan-made landspeeder and one heck of a Star Wars collection display. When you click on the link, do you notice who the source is for the post? Next, we're going to have to start a Kyle Newman is Everywhere post series.
Manja Pieters of Canterbury University took the whole formal-graduation-attire thing quite seriously as she wore her very best Stromtrooper armor to her commencement. Bravo Manja! We wish her a hearty TFN congrats on her educational achievement. Check out the full story at Stuff.co.nz. (via SW.com)
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
