Friend of TFN from Spain, "SithPadawan," sent us the following news about Star Wars in 3-D. He sent the news in two e-mails and I've listed them in order so you can get the full effect of his original e-mail and then follow-up.
E-mail #1
"Just wanted to tell you that Kinepolis in Madrid (the biggest cinema in the whole world) has bought a new proyector to show 3D movies (they also have a DLP digital one ;-) )
They're making special passes of trailers this week to show the technology that 3D can offer, and Star Wars is listed on the trailers.
PS: I haven't see it again, I'm going in an hour to the cinema to check it out ;-)"
E-mail #2
"Ok, I can now confirm they're making an exhibition of the 3D technology here on Kinepolis Madrid (Spain). The Star Wars segment is from Attack Of The Clones, the Coruscant speeder chase. The clip is about 1 minute lenght, from the "pull up, Anakin" scene until Zam exits the tunnel more or less. Simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g. They also show the Beowulf trailer and a short film called "Fly me to the moon". The projector was what I think to be a Barco DLP Passive 3D Display, using the technology shown in the next link. So, no need for two projectors as it was done until now on 3D projections, just one was needed.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
