In case you weren't aware, the current space shuttle mission, STS-133, brought an experimental robot to the International Space Station. The unit is called Robonaut and the latest version, currently on the ISS, is nicknamed R2. Check out this email I received from friend of TFN and NASA flight controller Holly Griffith:
Every day during a mission, we uplink an Execute Package to the crew. These have any special notes or changes to procedures and a timeline in it.
The group who makes the Execute Pack always puts some kind of humor on the first page about the current mission.
Today's joke, since they're unpacking Robonaut, was this. I thought you'd appreciate it.
Indeed I do, and I hope the rest of you enjoy it as well! For a bonus Star Wars reference in the Execute Pack, look at the NASA acronym in the text above the image: Joint Execute package Development and Integration or JEDI!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
