2011 baseball Star Wars events will continue into the late summer as the San Francisco Giants will be hosting a Star Wars Day on Septermber 4th. While not too much in the way of specifics have been revealed yet, here's what the Giants' website has to say...
'"The Force" was strong with our Giants in 2010 and now, you can participate in a special day bringing together Giants and Star Wars fans alike! Your ticket package will include a ticket in our Star Wars section, access to our pre-game festivities and a very special Star Wars themed Giants giveaway item! Buy your tickets early as this event will sell out; enjoy a fun-filled day of Star Wars themed activity through the ballpark, while rooting on your Giants! Stay tuned for further details!"

UPDATE #2: The official website of the San Francisco Giants has added the following promotional poster and details regarding the Star Wars Day scheduled for September 4, 2011.
Pregame Activities: A pregame costume contest will take place in Lot D, from 11:00am until 12:30pm. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the contest. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
Giveaway Item Detail: The giveaway item included with the Star Wars special event ticket is "Brian Wilson in Carbonite" statue. The statue is three sided, with one side featuring the iconic Han Solo in carbonite pose featured in "The Empire Strikes Back." A second side features Brian Wilson, in his trademark post-save celebration pose, frozen in carbonite similar to Han. The third side features graphics celebrating the Giants and Star Wars.
Postgame Movie Screening: The postgame screening of "The Empire Strikes Back" will begin approximately 30-45 minutes after the final out of the game. Seating for the screening will be in the Lower Box sections of the stadium, and will be general admission, first come first serve.
VIP Triples Alley: Details on the VIP Triples Alley experience, as well as the ability to purchase tickets, will be coming soon. Please check back to this site regularly for more information. Tickets will include a seat in the lower box, access to the Triples Alley pregame party space, complimentary food and beverage, access to the field postgame for special VIP viewing of the movie screening, and more!
Important Note: All contiguous seats have sold out in all seating sections of the ballpark for this game. Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets are still available, which include all the same extra event benefits as seated special event tickets. If you prefer to have a seat for the game, a second offer will soon be available to purchase a ticket for the September 12 game vs. San Diego which will include the Brian Wilson in Carbonite giveaway item. There will be no pregame costume contest or postgame movie screening on September 12.

I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated.
