The spoilers for the forthcoming Star Wars novel Sacrifice are coming thick and fast now, from multiple sources which seem reliable. It appears that the book is already widely-available in Canada.
Most of the new details are relatively minor, or are clarifications of what we know already.
So consider what follows a supplement to the information already contained in this post.

SPOILERS
* I mentioned in the earlier post that Boba Fett, now leader of the Mandalorians (think lots of guys with the same taste in armour), has secured an alliance with the Verpines. This apparently represents the emergence of a non-aligned interstellar faction, seperate from both the Galactic Alliance government and the Corellian seperatists.
* More dramatically, Jacen Solo seizes control of the Galactic Alliance government in a political coup, arresting Cal Omas and appointing himself acting head of the government, along with Admiral Niathal, the rather ambitious Supreme Commander of the Alliance military.
UPDATE:
Slight clarification on that point. The chain of events seems to be this:
Cal Omas was away negotiating with the Corellians, leaving Admiral Niathal as head of the government in his absence. Jacen uses his emergency powers as head of the security aparatus to change the law, and arrests and deposes Omas, on the pretext that a negotiated end to the war with Corellia is now illegal.
Niathal then informs the Senate that she's remaining in power until elections can be held—and, apparently somewhat reluctantly, brings in Jacen as her partner in the executive.
My reading of the characters, based on their interaction in Bloodlines and Exile earlier in the series, is that Niathal regards Jacen as a useful tool in her own quest for power, nothing more—I'm not convinced Jacen realises this himself, but I suspect that both of them have the capacity to surprise and undermine each other.
I also wonder if this combination of Supreme Commander of the Defense Force and leader of the Galactic Guard could, with the addition of a third figurehead, develop into the "Triumvirate" which is said to rule the Alliance in the Star Wars: Legacy comics.
That could go either way, but several people around the fansphere have already pointed out a more immediate implication for the plotline. This development means that the setup for the next novel in the series corresponds precisely to the supposed blurb for it which appeared online a few months back.
Admittedly, everything there that's been confirmed to happen in Sacrifice could also have been guessed by fans at the time; but this does make it that bit more likely that this information is legitimate... and it makes me wonder if the third member of the Triumvirate might turn out to be the Grand Master of the Jedi Order.
(I should also point out that there's one mistake in the old story in that link; the next book in the series is called Inferno, by Troy Denning (it's due out at the end of August); Fury is the title of the book after that, from Aaron Allston, due in November.)
