Legendary Star Wars stunt coordinator Nick Gillard will be bringing his considerable swordplay skills to the Swordplay Fencing Studio in Los Angeles this coming January.
"Nick Gillard Star Wars stunt coordinator and sword master will teach a light saber master class at Tim Weske?s Swordplay L.A. on the weekend of January 21st and 22nd 2012. Mr. Gillard will be assisted by CC Weske. You will have the opportunity to learn light saber fighting from the man who created it for Star Wars I, II and III. In this master class Mr. Gillard will teach a complicated run from ?Revenge Of The Sith? which covers all of the Jedi moves while explaining the rules involving Jedi fighting. This Master Class will be two hours long and will involve Q&A as well as pictures and autographs with the master. This premiere master class will be run in the same way that Mr. Gillard taught Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen for the Star Wars movies."
There look to be a number of class times between the two days (one of which includes a children's class) but space is limited. The price for adult classes is $200 while the children's class is $175. Click here for full details and to make your reservation.
Thanks Heather!
UPDATE: This is just a friendly TFN reminder that Nick Gillard's upcoming Saber Master Class in Los Angeles is right around the corner on January 21st and 22nd. There's still time to make a reservation but don't hesitate and risk being left out of the action. If you procrastinate and a Sith warrior takes you down the next time you head to the grocery store, don't say we didn't warn you!
Just in case you missed it, Nick Gillard can be heard talking about his class, and Star Wars in general, on the ForceCast's 2011 Holiday Special.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
