The official online home of the Star Wars franchise, StarWars.com, received a facelift today. The new design features the same menu of options along the top, but it adds more news content to the page in a modular format. Posts from The Official Star Wars Blog are featured alongside articles created for the main site. There's also a new "This Day in Star Wars" box a little ways down the page. (Today's entry: "1/29/08 - Lucasfilm unveils new character Ahsoka Tano in anticipation of products being revealed at forthcoming toy industry shows.") Click the image above for a full view of the new homepage design. The website is also now optimized for mobile devices, as you can see below.
Existing articles on the official website (like the J. J. Abrams announcement) will continue to sport the website's previous design. Lucas Online's Matt Martin told me that "for now this is just a homepage update."
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
