The Jedi Church has had its share of issues recently, but perhaps nothing is more damaging to a religion than the departure of its regional leadership. Unfortunately, the Surrey chapter of Britain's Jedi Church is now in that predicament.
Master Ajac, former leader of the Surrey Jedi, recently retired from his position at the helm of Surrey's guardians of the peace due to health concerns. The Surrey chapter, which consists of 25 warriors, is seeking a new leader. They describe their ideal candidate as someone with "a background in martial arts and a deep understanding of the teachings of the Jedi, the religion featured in the Star Wars films," according to the Surrey Adviser.
It also notes the ability to keep a secret would be a help - the two year old group meets at an undisclosed location, and while open to new members presumably is wary of being swamped by neophypte padawans.
The founder of this Jedi Church chapter, Daniel Jones, says that he's open to having the routine of Church meetings changed if the new leader is so inclined. "It will be down to the new master to decide any new teachings," Jones says, "So I wouldn?t like to state what they are before we get a new leader."

I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
