Apparently Hayden Christensen pitched an idea to the USA Network back in 2005 about a doctor who makes house calls to the afluent. The project was coincidentally called "Housecalls." While the show never got made, Hayden and his brother feel that the currently running USA program "Royal Pains" bears a stong resemblence to their premise. UPDATE:NBC Connecticut reports that Manhattan federal judge Colleen McMahon has dismissed Hayden's and his brother's case against the USA Network for stealing their story idea that the brothers claimed became the show Royal Pains. The case was tossed out essentially because the judge ruled that it concerned ideas that were not copyrightable.
